Independence Day marks an important moment in history and signifies everything we love about summer: barbecues, fireworks and care-free moments with our favorite people. We feel an Independence Day celebration at home should be a casual affair.

If ever there was a day for traditional American fare, this is it. Think hot dogs and hamburgers, corn on the cob, watermelon and apple pie. Opt for traditional wine choices, too, with our crowd-pleasing alcohol-removed Chardonnay and Merlot. For a late-night toast under red and blue fireworks, cheers with a glass of FRE Sparkling Brut.

Keep it simple with recyclable red-white-and-blue paper products and mini American flags. Set up a few backyard games like ring toss and corn hole, and give guests plenty of comfortable seating to relax and put their feet up. As night falls and the chorus of cicadas reaches a fever pitch, break out the sparklers and savor the golden glow.
